Jaymie-lynn obtained her BScN (honors) degree from Nipissing University in 2007. She graduated with distinction from the MScN/Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner program at Laurentian University in 2016.
Jaymie-lynn has gained extensive experience as a public health nurse working in our community for 8 years. During that time, she conducted research examining adolescents’ perceptions and beliefs about vaccines, vaccine safety and disease risk. She was a presenter at a number of provincial and national conferences, including the Canadian Immunization Conference in 2014. Her work has influenced provincial health programming regarding improved health education on immunizations and preventable diseases in secondary schools across Ontario.
Throughout her 11 year nursing career, Jaymie-lynn has gained experience in pediatrics, gynecology, geriatrics and public health. Additionally, she has received training in leadership, media and project management. She is keen and passionate about continuing education and professional development, always striving to achieve her very best.
Jaymie-lynn enjoys almost all sports, and has volunteered in the North Bay area as both a community and high school basketball coach. She loves practicing as a NP in a community she is so proud to be a part of. She looks forward to working with her patients to achieve their personal health goals and finds this perhaps the most rewarding aspect of being a Nurse Practitioner!
